Context

Inspired by school and corporate management systems like Carnet Plus, this project was born from a personal initiative to improve attendance tracking methods. The goal is to evolve from slow QR code scans to an instant experience using NFC technology.

The Challenge

Traditional access control systems in institutions or gyms rely on manual processes, vulnerable physical credentials, or QR codes that create bottlenecks at entrances. Furthermore, communicating attendance to parents or administrators is often delayed or inefficient.

The Solution

I developed the software ecosystem (Web and Mobile App) for an NFC-based comprehensive solution. By tapping a smart card or phone against the physical reader (built with ESP32 by my hardware teammate), the system logs the entry instantly, manages the schedule in the database, and triggers automatic notifications via WhatsApp or Telegram.

Results

As a project currently in development, it is projected to achieve a frictionless entry flow, reducing validation time per person to under 1 second and providing peace of mind to institutions and parents through real-time alerts.
